Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of tools and equipment from Home Tool Rentals ("the Company"). By renting tools, you ("the Renter") agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. General Terms

• All tools remain the property of Home Tool Rentals at all times.
• Renters must be at least 18 years old and provide a valid form of identification (e.g., ID book, passport, or driver's license).
• Home Tool Rentals reserves the right to refuse rentals at its sole discretion.

2. Rental Period and Use

• The rental period begins at the time of tool pickup and ends when the tool is returned.
• Tools must be used solely for their intended purpose and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
• The Renter is prohibited from sub-renting, selling, or transferring rented tools to third parties.

3. Booking, Deposits, and Payment

• A refundable deposit, at most equal to the tool's replacement value (otherwise at the discretion of Home Tool Rentals) is required before rental.
• Full payment for the rental period must be made prior to pickup.
• Deposits will be refunded within 48 hours of tool return, provided the tool is in good condition and returned on time.
• Late returns are subject to additional fees at the daily rental rate.

4. Tool Maintenance and Damage

• The Renter is responsible for maintaining the tool in its rented condition and ensuring its safe use.
• Tools returned in damaged, non-functional, or excessively dirty condition may result in repair, replacement, or cleaning fees, which will be deducted from the deposit.
• Any tool malfunctions must be reported immediately. Renters are not permitted to attempt repairs.

5. Indemnity and Liability

• The Renter assumes full responsibility for the safe use of rented tools and agrees to indemnify Home Tool Rentals against any claims, damages, or injuries arising from misuse or negligence.
• Home Tool Rentals is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including project delays, caused by tool unavailability, malfunction, or failure.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

• Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the rental start time may incur a 10% cancellation fee.
• No refunds will be issued for tools returned before the end of the rental period.

7. Updates to These Terms

• Home Tool Rentals reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Updated terms will be published on our website.
• Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
